Checked on her this morning before work, and her leg looked A TON better! Most of the "redness" is gone, so I applied more ointment, and slapped another layer of grease on her anklets. Feeling a lot better today for sure.....yesterday I was freakin out!!!!
nice, glad to hear its healing up well. at least its a minimal mistake with a good learning experience.
ReplyDeletevery true! Ryan warned me that it will take FOREVER to heal all the way (which is a bummer!!!! I need to get hawkin!), but patients is a virtue. Now the real problems is, she is going to loose so much muscle mass while she is healing, that I will pretty much be doing what I did with Dee.....that, and the bird has a bigger window to develope bad habbits from my inexperience, than it would if we where hitting the field....we shall see how it goes
ReplyDeletei feel ya on the need to go hawking ( i still havent gone on a hunt yet ). maybe a ton of jump ups later on can help her get some muscle mass back on quickly.
ReplyDeleteIn all honesty i appreciate you sharing your ups and downs... as a soon to be apprentice, this whole business with the pole perch is a good lesson to have in the back of my mind.
PS. i think i am applying to the "its all about birds" internship program. Put a good word in with ryan for me :P wink wink... jk
